I´m back with abook you wiil love. I hope you find my review inspiring and as you will see, I really recommend it.

Fisrt encounter.

One day, Miss Shepherd an eccentric woman, parked her van on a London sidewalk, accessing the home of writer Alan Bennett. At the beginning, should be something temporary.Neverthless,a reluctant favor, ends up becoming a relationship that will change their lives. Miss Shepherd stayed there for 15 year. This is a lovely and poignant story, shot in the street and in the house where all those years Bennett and Miss Shepherd lived.

Weird story.

The Lady in the Van tells the true story of Alan Bennett´s strained friendship with Miss Shepherd, an exotic homeless woman whom Bennett befriended in the 1970s before allowing her temporarily to park her van in the driveway of his home. She stayed there for 15 years!!. As the story develops Bennett realizes that Miss Shepherd is really Margaret Fairchild, a former gifted pupil of the renowned pianist Alfred Cortot. Bennett builds a stronger relationship with this ederly woman living in her van in front of his house.ç

Raw feelings

The Lady in the Van is an emotive story of authentic friendship. Miss Shepherd is not a perfect partner. She is not friendly neither outgoing. Despite her behavior was not the best, she started to change when she got along with Mr. Bennett. What I surprised me of this book that it was a story which mixes all emotions such as sadness, loneliness, happiness and disappointment.
